How to Follow Your Favorite Blogs with Google Reader

How do you keep track of the many blogs you love to read? Do you actually visit the various blog websites or individual hub page profiles to view any new articles are added by your favorite author? Well there is an easier way now. Many of you might have heard of Google Reader and might already be using it for following blogs or websites but you can also use it follow updates from hubpage authors as well.

If you have a Google.com or Gmail account you can go to Google Reader and sign in. Once you are signed in, looked for "Add your Subscription" button. If you know the RSS feed URL you can enter it in the popup given or you can search for a term you are looking for (i.e. finance) and it will list few results pertaining to Finance. Now all you have to do is log in to your Google Reader page and you will see all the posts made on the particular blog or website you want to follow.

If you want to follow your favorite hubpage writers you don't have to constantly update your hubpage homepage, instead you can just subscribe to their RSS feed from the hubbers profile page and you will be able to see all hubs published by your favorite authors. All you have to do is click on "Subscribe to (username)'s RSS feed". On a new page you will be given a dropdown option for how to view the feed. Select "Google" from dropdown and then click on "Subscribe Now" button. On the next page you will see two options, first option being adding to Google homepage. This is basically your iGoogle homepage if you use it. This will add a widget on your iGoogle homepage with latest articles from your favorite hubber. The other option is Add to Google Reader. Once you click the button you should be able to view all the articles from your favorite hubber in your google reader. You now have an archive of all the hubs ever posted by your favorite hubber and you will automatically see any new hubs published by the author without ever having to going to hubpages.com and seeing if there are any new hubs written by your favorite author.
