Kodak Zi8 Pocket Video Camera: Best Camcorder Under $150
By jobister
Kodak and Flip are in a little tussle over the new format of video cameras a.k.a camcorders. It is a friendly tussle in which both are competing with each other to deliver the best possible video camera to their customers. Personally we own a Kodak Zi8 and it is wonderful. There are some negatives for this video camera but the positive features overshadow the negatives.

So those are the pros and cons I noted, feel free to add your thoughts in the comments below. I just think Flip and Kodak video cameras are for the new generation. It is excellent for on the go recording; you never know what you might wish you had a video camera for when something happens while you are out and about. I know a lot of phones have cameras and can take videos but the quality is far inferior. If you want a camera that can take video, take pictures and has the capability to store lots of footage then I would recommend getting the Kodak Zi8. This camera is ultra portable, you won't need a fanny pack to carry this video camera around. There are no tapes or cables to deal with; just point and shoot. Transferring from your Kodak Zi8 camera is also a piece of cake, just plug it in using a USB input and you can transfer the data to your computer in minutes. With the various formats of taking videos you can easily upload to YouTube or Facebook as well. This makes a perfect Christmas gift for anyone starting out to be a video blogger, or for someone who is always on the go and wants to share their experience. You will not pay a boat load for this high quality camera as well. Its almost a third of the cost of the traditional camcorders. This Kodak Zi8 Pocket Video Camera is truly the best bang for the buck. Do you own a Kodak Zi8 Pocket Video Camera? Then please leave me your thoughts on this product.

Kodak does not stand behind its products. I bought the Zi8 in November to take on a cruise. When I got home none of the photos came out. I started using it just for videos, then some of the videos did not come out. Then it died completely in March. I had to mail it to them at my expense. 2 weeks later it came back and still will not come on. They refuse to give me a refund, even though support told me to take it back to the store to get a refund. I bought it from kodak.com and they refuse to give a refund, claiming that they only do that for 30 days. So if your camera breaks after 30 days, you are screwed.
