Last Christmas I received the Philips Norelco Arcitec Men's Shaving System as a gift. It is a very thoughtful gift to give. I have had this electric shaver for almost a year now and I to be honest I am kind of disappointed. Maybe its just me or the way I use it or not use it, but it is more pain in the rear end to use this thing than to use a good old razors. It has its share of benefits as well as disadvantages.
So the advantages of the Philips Norelco Arcitec Men's Shaving System is that you won't need to go buy disposal razor blades or razors. It is easy to maintain, no need to lather up your face anymore. It is portable and comes with travel charger. Cleaning the Philips Norelco Arcitec Men's Shaving System is also a breeze. All you need to do is run the blades under lukewarm water and make sure to air dry the blades. The blades are sharp and can trim stubs off of your face.
The Philips Norelco Arcitec Men's Shaving System is not perfect by any means. The things I disliked are that it runs on rechargeable battery so if you forget to charge it after using it, then the next time you are going to shave the battery may not last as long. So as long as you remember to charge it each time you should be fine. Also if you have a lot of hair to shave it will need to be cleaned even if you are not done shaving. It will need to be rinsed in mid use from time to time. Also in my personal experience I feel like the shaver does not get the small stubs off of your face, so this feels like sandpaper. Since you are not using any shaving cream it also tends to irritate the skin a little bit for me and getting the hair off of my chin seems to be something I struggle with. Also last but not least this Norelco Arcitec Men's Shaving System does not come cheap. It can cost well over $200 which is tough to spend especially if you can do just fine with disposable razors.
I would recommend this product to anyone who is tired of getting razor bumps on their face and neck. I think it will definitely ease the pain, but there were will more time and work needed to shave with the Norelco Arcitec Men's Shaving System. What do you think? Would you buy it?

I own one of these razors and yes you do change the blades. they just dont change like normal blades do the whole head gets replaced on this instead of each individual blade.
